Boodjamulla National Park (Aboriginal Land)

Boodjamulla National Park (Aboriginal Land) is one of Queensland's most scenic national parks lies on ancient sandstone of the Constance Range.

Some services may not be available due to the 2023 Monsoonal Flood.

Situated within the remote north-west highlands of Queensland, the park features spectacular gorge country, sandstone ranges and World Heritage fossils. Lawn Hill Gorge is formed by Lawn Hill Creek, which is fed by numerous freshwater springs from the limestone plateau to the west. The magnitude of the sandstone cliffs lining the gorge, its emerald waters and lush vegetation make it a visual splendour. Serving as a beautiful oasis in the outback, the spring water and surrounding vegetation attract an abundance of wildlife. The Waanyi Aboriginal people have strong cultural ties with the park while pastoralists of European descent have more recent historical connections.   Waanyi Aboriginal people welcome you to their country and ask that you respect their special place.  Camping permits are available through National Parks. Please note domestic animals are not permitted in the National Park.

From Gregory Downs: Travel 72km west along Wills Developmental Road then turn south onto Riversleigh Road and drive 21km to the entrance of Lawn Hill Gorge section
