The much-anticipated Saddles and Paddles incorporating Gregory Races, hosted by the Gregory Downs Jockey Club is an annual event held on the May Labour Day Weekend.  It coincides with the Gregory River Canoe Marathon making a great family fun weekend not to be missed.   The Gregory Races is one of the last Bush Race Meetings (affiliated with Queensland Racing) in Queensland's Gulf Country and has been held for over 100 years.

Whether you're a seasoned fashionista or simply passionate about style, Fashions on the Field offers a platform for your self-expression. Fashions on the Field is a highly contested event attracting a range of immaculately dressed entrants of all ages. The six card race meeting includes a luncheon, bookies, refreshments, bar facilities, fun events for the kids, music and the hotly contested Gregory Gift Footrace   Entry is free and camping is available at the racecourse.
